A Different Object Lesson

Dad did an object lesson at church last night. He got Mom to help him and they used a recipe for chocolate chip-walnut cookies. As Mom would read the ingredient from the recipe, Dad would hand it to her - or at least his interpretation of that ingredient. This led to some very interesting substitutions!
His point was how some people put their own interpretation on how things should be as well as things in the Bible.
The table of utensils.
The two bakers ready to go to work.
Adding the soda - what difference does it make whether it's baking soda or 7-up?!
Adding the chocolate chips - who says they couldn't be in ready made cookies?!
And here's the finished "batter" - ready to be baked!
Some of the other "ingredients" were - flowers instead of flour; white chocolate for the vanilla; peanut M&Ms for the walnuts; sawdust for the brown sugar; rock salt for the sugar; cocoa butter for the butter; two eggs (in the shell) for the eggs - the recipe said "two eggs" not just the insides!
For some reason, no one wanted any cookies when he was done!
Thanks For Dropping In!
